![]() In the next stanza, the phrase “he is on the table and he’s gone to code” is a metaphor for the medical term code blue. The singer then encourages the boy to put his past away and step off of the subsequent ledge. Due to this persons suffering, they become depressed. Such as, “you’re the first to fight, you’re way to loud.” He also sings “you’re the flash of light on a burial shroud.” This means to say that sometimes people are discriminated against because of their differences. The narrator starts stanza one by listing various troubles that make this person an outcast. The song Jumper discusses a boy who did not fit in and who was angry at the world.
